2018 Annual Appeal
November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and with that, we are holding our Annual Appeal commencing November 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. Our goal is $100,000, which is lofty, but needed. We are different from other organizations in that, your generosity stays local within your community.
We serve eight counties in West Central Florida; Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Sumter, Citrus, Lake, and Marion. Our organization relies solely on fundraising, memberships, sponsorship's, monetary and in-kind, donations to operate. We do not receive local, state, or federal government monies to provide these support services. We are fortunate to be the recipients of a few small grants, which we are grateful for, but need desperately need your support to accomplish our mission.
The success and survival of AFO depends on those who are willing to offer us support so that in turn we can provide the much-needed quality services to families affected by this terrifying and dreadful disease. We provide these services with a small number of staff and many volunteers.
